In 2014, DirecTV decided to establish a dedicated department focused on purely on online and digital products and experiences to create a consistent and engaging end-to-end experience for customers from marketing acquisition to product utilization and content consumption.
The Goal
Externally and internally establish the Digital Media Group (DMG) as a best-in-class group of creative experts in digital experiences. Attract and retain the best product, design, marketing and digital talents in NYC & LA.

Approach
Establish a separate identity from the DirecTV brand, which was already well established as the leader in satellite content delivery and not commonly associated with cutting-edge digital products. Create a dedicated careers website, collateral and signage for use at job fairs and other events to establish and position the group to potential job candidates.
